Christmas Celebration

On the 14th, we got to do a mini concert and participate in the Christmas program. Here are a couple snapshots from the evening.

Here are a few pictures of the Christmas concert we did last Tuesday. Former Team member Rose Bontrager is home from Guatemala for a short visit, so we drafted her in to help. Her voice added a lot to our singing, and we had a fun time sharing Christmas carols and adding our own twist to them. :)

Christmas Concert

It's the time of year for friends, fun, celebration, cookies, snow, warmth and...Christmas concerts!
The Shepardsville Team has officially dusted off its Christmas folder and is gearing up for a special time of singing. For all you ladies out there-both young and old-this is a special invitation to you. On Tuesday, December 9, the Shepardsville United Methodist Church (located just a block north of M-21 in Shepardsville, MI) will be hosting a ladies' luncheon at 12 o'clock. Following the luncheon, the Team will be singing Christmas carols to celebrate the birth of Christ. So come on out, if you can!!!

Hello, Goodbye. The Season of Change

Hello, folks! A lot has changed recently within the Team. Several members went on to pursue other areas they felt God is leading them into, and a few more people joined our Team.

We just did our last (booked) concert of this month last Thursday for the Forgotten Man Ministries banquet in St. Johns. There was a great turnout for dinner (who doesn't like food?), and we had a great time singing. :)

This concert was also the last time Esther Derby will be playing or singing with the Shepardsville Team. She also is moving on to greener pastures and in ten days will finally become...Mrs. Esther Shell. Naturally, we are happy for her and her husband-to-be and anticipate their wedding, but we'll miss the amazing talent and personality that Esther added to the Team.
The changes in the Shepardsville Team have been many in its years of existence. We would really love your prayers for us as a Team and individuals about any and all continuing changes God has for us.

Psalm 90:12 "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."

Tonight instead of the usual Gospel Barn music night, we are going to have a community potluck along with some music and singing. What could be better than good old-fashioned fellowship with food and music?!

Bring a dish to pass and/or a drink (lemonade or pop). And feel free to invited your friends!

Come join us!

Henry and Ida's Gospel barn is hosting their biannual music event this Sunday night! There will be a number of bands and musicians on stage throughout the evening including the featured band, the Shepardsville Team!

There is a suggested admission fee on a donation basis. All proceeds will be going toward international ministry that reaches out to help widows, orphans, and the destitute in various countries.

Drinks and goodies will be available for purchase. Please bring your own chair for seating.

Please Pray

One of our singers, Elena McCoy, just moved back home to spend time with her family. Her mom, Bonnie, has cancer and it has grown increasingly worse this week, spreading to the brain. Doctors said she has less than two weeks to live. Would you join us in praying for the family? Thank you so much!
